Aussie Doctors Don't Buy ReflexologyGOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA – A survey of 2,000
Australian GPs randomly selected from the Health Insurance Commission database
has found that acupuncture and massage achieved the highest acceptance rate,
with reflexology and aromatherapy the lowest.
In a study of 2,000 Australian doctors, quite a
few seemed to reject reflexology while embracing acupuncture.
"Asked whether they considered it appropriate for GPs to practice alternative therapies, 90% said they considered acupuncture appropriate, compared with 15% who considered reflexology appropriate."
