Ancestors

The first supportive
footwear came into use in western Eurasia between 26,000 and 30,000 years ago,
says a study by Washington University in St.
Louis.
Erik
Trinkaus derived the dates by analyzing anatomical evidence of early modern
humans, which suggests a reduction in the strength of the smaller toes in Upper
Paleolithic humans while there was little change in leg strength.
Comment: So for at least
26,000 years we have been influenced by shoes. And the way they discovered this
was to look at the bone structure which suggests the weakening of the smaller
toes.
Here's my question.
What impact has this had on our sensory system? What would our world look like
if our ancestors had limited or they eliminated the shoe altogether?
Something to ponder.
